Born Lord Wensky Jolissaint in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, Troubleboy Hitmaker developed an interest in music while growing up between Cap-Haïtien and Pétion-Ville. He began performing at a young age and was influenced by international rappers including Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, and Eminem. By 2011, he had begun pursuing music professionally, building his identity around Rap Kreyòl and contemporary Haitian hip-hop.
Troubleboy gained early attention with songs such as “Crank that Moto” before releasing his debut album, “Shut up Epi Tande,” in 2012. His growing catalog established him as a distinctive voice in Haitian rap, with songs addressing relationships, everyday experiences, social issues, and Haitian life. Releases including “Vwazin Nan” and “Raz” further strengthened his reputation.
His second major album, “Pral Nan Peyan'm Pou Yo,” arrived in 2018 and featured collaborations with artists including Fatima, Medjy, Anie Alerte, Baky and Boukman Eksperyans. He followed with “L'aventure Continue” in 2020, continuing his expansion within Haiti and among the Haitian diaspora.
In 2022, Troubleboy signed with Mr. Toast Entertainment and Fast Entertainment and released records including “Vagabon,” “Ego,” and “You Wanna Bamba, You Wanna Chill With The Big Boys” with Qwote. His 16-track album “Map Rap Ak Ke Kontan” followed in 2023, featuring Kenny Haiti, Baky, Steves J. Bryan and Anie Alerte. Songs including “Plenyen Player Yo” and “Veye Priye” became notable entries in his catalog.
Troubleboy released “Toxic” in 2024, a 14-track project featuring Tafa Mi-Soleil, Nina 4urSoul, Zama and others. The album received strong digital-store visibility, while “Brize” became one of his widely viewed releases.
Beyond performing, Troubleboy has written songs for artists including Enposib, Medjy, Anie Alerte and Kreyol La. His accomplishments also include successful digital releases, international collaborations, and his Blue & White concert initiative in Cap-Haïtien, which has supported educational projects. Recent releases, including “Miss You,” “Oh Mezanmi,” and “5 Segond,” continue his long-running presence in Haitian music.
